ACE Certification and Background Checks Required for Championship Play
As mandated by the ASA National Board of Directors, each Junior Olympic Championship Play team (includes all qualifiers and state tournaments) must have at least one coach within the field of play/dugout ACE Certified in order to participate in Championship Play. The ACE Certification includes a background check. It is highly recommended that all coaches associated with JO Teams complete the ACE Certification program.
Also required for Championship Play, each adult on the field or in the dugout must be background checked. This includes anyone helping a team warm up on the field prior to or during the game and anyone sitting in the dugout during the game (including scorekeepers).

If you are already ACE Certified or only need background checked, complete and return the ASA Background Check Release Form along with $7 per background check. This form and fee, payable to “Indiana ASA”, can be mailed to Cindy Inman, 10856 E Gibbs Ave, Rosedale, IN 47874.
